Hepatinic is a prescription drug and not much research has been done in geriatric patients (old age people). It has been found effective in dissolving small stones in the gallbladder and depending on the condition the doctor may recommend this drug to 65 years and above.
Hepatinic regulates the levels of cholesterol by impeding its absorption through the intestine and by breaking the cholesterol molecules. Because of this reason, it is used to treat gallstones non surgically.
