Actifed Plus is primarily not used to treat a common cold and sore throat. It can only relieve cold-related symptoms such as a fever, headache, earache, and aching joints. It doesn't help in relieving cough or stuffy nose.
Yes, you can take Actifed Plus with aspirin. No drug-drug interaction has been reported between them. But you're recommended to consult your doctor before taking these two medications together.
As we know Actifed Plus is most widely used 'over-the-counter' analgesic/antipyretic medicine. However, paracetamol overdose can cause serious adverse effects on the liver, it may be fatal. But fortunately, there is an antidote, N-acetylcysteine (NAC) given within 8 hours of Actifed Plus ingestion which usually can prevent all serious side effects of Actifed Plus poisoning. However, do not take NAC without consulting a doctor as your doctor will tell you the right way and methods to help you relieve from this drug poisoning.
