Micropod is a prescription drug, available for use as Suspension, Syrup, Tablet. Primarily, it is used for the treatment of Urinary Tract Infection, Bronchitis. Other than this, Micropod has some other therapeutic uses, which have been discussed ahead.

Interaction between Alcohol and Micropod
It is difficult to say anything about the effect of Micropod and alcohol. No research has been done on this yet.
Yes, Micropod can cause liver toxicity if taken in higher doses for a long time. You are advised to get regular liver function tests done to keep a check on proper liver functioning while taking this drug.
Avoid taking Micropod with azithromycin, because it can cause heart-related problems. However, if you are experiencing any discomfort after consuming these two medicines at the same time then do not hesitate to inform your doctor.
Micropod should be ideally taken with food(a light meal). Take this medicine in the required quantity and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Discontinuing the medicine in between may promote bacterial resistance which results in a relapse of the infection. You are recommended to complete the 7 - 14 days course even after getting symptomatic relief. Incase you feel any discomfort such as breathing difficulties and skin reactions while taking this medicine please inform your doctor immediately.
Rarely Micropod can cause neurotoxicity. It is a reversible side effect of this drug, the symptoms caused due to drug-induced neurotoxicity often disappear after this drug is stopped. However, if you experience convulsions, agitation, weakness and severe nausea do not hesitate to inform your doctor without any further delay.
Yes, Micropod can cause stomach upset if taken on an empty stomach. It is a common side effect of this drug. Please inform your doctor if you are experiencing severe stomach upset after taking this medicine.
