Pantoclas is a brand name of pantoprazole. It is a prescription medicine that belongs to the class of drug called proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It is mainly used for the short-term treatment of peptic ulcer, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GRED), Zollinger Ellison syndrome and other acidity related stomach problems. It is also used for the treatment of duodenal ulcer and heartburn.

Stomach acids help in the absorption of Vitamin B 12, and this drug suppresses stomach acids which are required for the absorption of vitamin B12.
