Microphylline Information

Microphylline, a prescription drug, is manufactured in various forms such as Tablet. Primarily, it is used for the treatment of Asthma. Other than this, Microphylline has some other therapeutic uses, which have been discussed ahead.

How does Microphylline work?

Microphylline contains doxofylline which is a bronchodilator. It works by inhibiting the phosphodiesterase enzyme that causes smooth muscle relaxation. This results in breathing easily during COPD and bronchial asthma. It has also an anti-inflammatory activity which exerts by reducing pleurisy (inflammation of pleura of lungs) induced by the inflammatory mediator. Hence in this way, Microphylline provides relief to the patients from bronchospasm and breathing trouble in respiratory disorders.
