Yes, Glospor can sometimes affect the liver by increasing the secretion of liver enzymes which can damage the liver cells. Rare cases of serious hepatotoxicity (liver damage), including liver failure and death have been reported.
Itraconazole works by preventing the fungal infection to grow further. They inhibit cytochrome P450 enzyme 14- demethylase and block ergosterol synthesis. This action results in the destruction of cell membranes of the pathogen by limiting the growth of the fungus.
