        Can Gemsoline increase calcium levels in blood?

        Yes, Gemsoline can cause high calcium levels (hypercalcemia) if taken in more than the recommended doses. The normal levels of calcium are restored after discontinuation of this drug and not consuming calcium-containing products. Do not take this drug in more than the prescribed doses to avoid unpleasant side effects.

        How long can I safely take Gemsoline?

        Usually Gemsoline is given for 2 - 4 weeks which may vary from case to case basis depending on the age, gender, and diagnosis of the patient. You are advised take it as per your doctor's advice. Do not take this medicine longer than prescribed as an excess of Gemsoline can also cause hypervitaminosis D which is high levels of vitamin D in our body that can lead to unpleasant side effects such as high blood pressure, increased heart rate, and fatigue.
