Eklot is a brand name for ethamsylate. It is a prescription drug which belongs to the class of medication known as a haemostatic drug. Eklot is available in a different dosage form such as tablet and injection. It is mainly used for the treatment of a bleeding disorder. It is also used to treat excess loss of blood during the menstrual cycle or surgery.
Yes, Eklot is safe to use, if taken in a prescribed amount for a specified time as advised by the doctor. However, few side effects are observed at regular doses such as nausea, abdominal pain, and rashes. Do not hesitate to inform your doctor if you are facing any of the above side effects.
Eklot contains ethamsylate. It is presumed that Eklot works by increasing the endothelial resistance and promoting the platelet adhesion.
