NC Derm Plus is a brand name of clobetasol and it comes in the form of ointment, cream, and lotion. It belongs to the class of drug known as steroids (corticosteroids). It is a prescription drug used for the treatment of skin diseases such as corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses, scalp psoriasis, and plaque psoriasis.

Yes, NC Derm Plus is a steroid. It contains clobetasol which is a potent corticosteroid. It should not be confused with anabolic-androgenic steroids which are used by some bodybuilders without prescription to build muscle mass.
NC Derm Plus contains clobetasol which is presumed to work by promoting the induction of inhibitory proteins (lipocortins) in the body. Lipocortins prevents the release of arachidonic acid which causes synthesis and release of certain chemicals such as histamine, leukotrienes, and prostaglandins that causes inflammation. In this way NC Derm Plus prevents the skin inflammation which provides relief to the patient from rash, itching, and redness.
NC Derm Plus is used for the short-term treatment up to 2 weeks and if required then maximum up to 4 weeks. You are advised to use it as directed by your doctor. Do not use this medicine longer than prescribed by your doctor to avoid the unpleasant side effect.
