Yes, Clobital GM Neo might lighten skin because it causes skin atrophy (skin thinning) which reduces the darkness of the skin. However, Clobital GM Neo is not approved for skin lightening and should not be used for this purpose because it can cause unpleasant side effects.
No, Clobital GM Neo alone should not be used for jock itch also known as tinea cruris because it is a fungal infection and Clobital GM Neo is not an antifungal agent and it is not effective against fungi. Hence Clobital GM Neo should not be used for the treatment of jock itch. For the treatment of jock itch, you can use a combination of Clobital GM Neo and antifungal drugs such as miconazole and fluconazole.
Clobital GM Neo contains clobetasol which is presumed to work by promoting the induction of inhibitory proteins (lipocortins) in the body. Lipocortins prevents the release of arachidonic acid which causes synthesis and release of certain chemicals such as histamine, leukotrienes, and prostaglandins that causes inflammation. In this way Clobital GM Neo prevents the skin inflammation which provides relief to the patient from rash, itching, and redness.
