Cozymin is primarily not used to treat a common cold and sore throat. It can only relieve cold-related symptoms such as a fever, headache, earache, and aching joints. It doesn't help in relieving cough or stuffy nose.
Cozymin is a safe drug no much precautions are to be taken. However, alcohol should be completely avoided. If you have any previous history of kidney and liver diseases keep your doctor informed before taking this drug.
Cozymin is primarily used to reduce pain and fever. It can a for other conditions such as a headache, muscle aches, backache, toothaches, and colds.
Although it's believed that Cozymin works mainly in the central nervous system (Brain and Spine). It prevents the release of prostaglandin, which is responsible for increasing pain and body temperature. It effectively reduces the intensity of pain signals to the brain.
As we know Cozymin is most widely used 'over-the-counter' analgesic/antipyretic medicine. However, paracetamol overdose can cause serious adverse effects on the liver, it may be fatal. But fortunately, there is an antidote, N-acetylcysteine (NAC) given within 8 hours of Cozymin ingestion which usually can prevent all serious side effects of Cozymin poisoning. However, do not take NAC without consulting a doctor as your doctor will tell you the right way and methods to help you relieve from this drug poisoning.
