Occasionally Xone XP can cause drug-induced thrombocytopenia (blood clot formation in a vessel). However, if you experience severe thrombocytopenia after taking this medicine, please immediately seek medical help.
Discontinuing Xone XP in between may promote resistance to bacteria which may result in a relapse of the infection. You are recommended to complete the 7 - 14 days course even after getting symptomatic relief. you feel any discomfort such as breathing difficulties and skin reactions while taking this medicine please inform your doctor immediately.
Xone XP works by inhibiting the growth of the bacterial cell wall which is essential for the growth of bacteria. Hence, in this way, it prevents us from bacterial infection.
Yes, Xone XP can cause diarrhea by disturbing bacterial flora of gut. It is a common side effect of this drug. However, if you are experiencing severe diarrhea after consuming this medicine inform the doctor immediately and check if you can discontinue the medicine. Try keeping yourself hydrated, drink plenty of fluids and take ample rest.
Do not self-administer Xone XP. It comes in the form of injection and preferably taken 1 - 2 times in a day (Intravenously or Intramuscularly).
