Quidox Information

Quidox, a prescription drug, is manufactured in various forms such as Capsule. It is primarily used for the treatment of Bacterial Infections. Secondary and off-label uses of Quidox have also been mentioned below.

Quidox is a brand name for doxycycline. It is a prescription drug that belongs to the class of medications called tetracycline. It is available in different dosage forms such as tablet, capsule, syrup, and cream. Quidox is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat bacterial as well as protozoal infection. It is used in the treatment of various type of infections such as pneumonia, respiratory tract infection, rickettsial infections, sexually transmitted infections, ophthalmic infections, anthrax including inhalational anthrax, and prophylaxis of malaria. It is also used in combination with other medications to treat acne and pimples. Sometimes Quidox is also used as an alternative treatment for selected infections when penicillin is contraindicated.

Can I take Quidox with ofloxacin?

Quidox can be taken with ofloxacin. No drug-drug interactions are reported between them. Ofloxacin also does not affect the absorption of this drug. How to take Quidox?

Quidox can be taken orally and applied topically. An oral form such as tablet should be taken with or without food. If the medicine causes stomach upset after taking this drug take it with food or milk and drink plenty of water. Duration and dose of the course will vary according to the severity of an infection. The topical form of medicine should apply to the affected area twice daily or advice by a doctor, do not apply more or less as recommended by healthcare practitioners.
