Epivate G is a brand name of clobetasol and it comes in the form of ointment, cream, and lotion. It belongs to the class of drug known as steroids (corticosteroids). It is a prescription drug used for the treatment of skin diseases such as corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses, scalp psoriasis, and plaque psoriasis.

Can Epivate G be used for ringworm?

No, Epivate G alone should not be used for ringworm because it is a fungal infection of the skin caused by fungi such as Trichophyton rubrum and Epidermophyton floccosum and Epivate G is not an antifungal agent and it is not effective against fungi. Hence Epivate G should not be used for the treatment of ringworm. For the treatment of ringworm, you can use a combination of Epivate G and antifungal drugs such as miconazole and fluconazole.
