Yes, Zolex helps in the preventing and healing the ulcer. It is one of the main uses of this drug. However, your doctor may also suggest other medicines to heal stomach ulcers completely.
Zolex is not an antacid. It is proton pump inhibitor which reduce the excess acid in the stomach.
Zolex should be taken 30 - 60 minute before taking any meal. Preferably it should be taken once a day in the morning before breakfast. However, some patient may require to take it twice a day, in this case, 1 tablet should be taken in the morning and 1 tablet in the evening before the meal as directed by the doctor. You are recommended to consult your doctor regarding the exact dosage regime of medicine and follow his/her instruction.
