Volicure M is the brand name for voglibose. It is an oral antidiabetic drug that belongs to the class of medicine called alpha-glucosidase inhibitor. It is used in single or combined with other drugs to treat diabetes.
Volicure M should be taken as long as needed or take it as directed by doctor. Do not discontinue the drug suddenly or take it longer than prescribed by your doctor.
Volicure M itself does not cause alopecia ( hair loss). However, the conditions treated by Volicure M, type 2 diabetes and PCOS, often list hair loss as a possible symptom.
Volicure M contain voglibose. It works by inhibiting the enzyme (alpha-glucosidase) that reduces the rate of digestion of complex carbohydrates. Less glucose is absorbed because the carbohydrates are not broken down into glucose molecules. Hence in this way, Volicure M reduces blood sugar levels.
Take Volicure M as advised by your doctor. It can be taken orally three times daily immediately before each meal. Precautions must be taken in patients with improper liver or kidney function.
