Consuming limited amounts of alcohol while taking Toprap C does not cause any harmful effects. But it is best to observe caution.
Yes, Toprap C can cause stomach upset. It is a common side effect of this drug but the exact reason of stomach cramp is not known. Please inform your doctor if you are experiencing stomach upset after taking this medicine.
Toprap C comes as a tablet and solution and it should be taken by mouth once daily or as advised by your doctor. Precautions must be taken in patients with hypertension (BP), ulcerative colitis, osteoporosis, glaucoma, diabetes, and peptic ulcer. Your doctor may tell you to follow low-salt, potassium-rich, or high-protein diet if you are taking Toprap C. A topical form of this drug (Cream, Ointment) should be applied gently on affected area 1 - 2 times daily as directed by the doctor.
Take Toprap C as advised by your doctor. Do not discontinue the drug suddenly or take it longer than prescribed by your doctor.
This is because a long-term use of Toprap C can cause Vitamin B12 deficiency. Stomach acids help in the absorption of Vitamin B 12, and this drug suppresses stomach acid which is required for the absorption of vitamin B12. Hence patients taking Toprap C for a long time have Vitamin B12 deficiency. To replenish Vitamin B12 in your body your doctor prescribes this vitamin along with this medicine.
Toprap C is not a pain-killer. It belongs to the class of drug called steroids, which helps in relieving the symptoms of allergies and inflammation.
