Interaction between Food and Sernim
There isn't any research available on the side effects of taking Sernim with food.
Interaction between Alcohol and Sernim
No research has been done on this till date. Therefore, it is not known what the effect of taking Sernim with alcohol will be.
Ideally Sernim is not prescribed by a doctor for a toothache. However, in the absence of painkillers such as ibuprofen, acetaminophen, naproxen etc, nimesulide can be taken to get instant relief from tooth pain. Generally, for treating toothache arising due to dental cavities and dental procedures ibuprofen along with antibiotics are recommended by dentists to reduce swelling and pain.
Sernim is primarily not used to treat the common cold and sore throat. It can only relieve cold-related symptoms such as a fever, headache, earache, and aching joints. It doesn't help in relieving cough or stuffy nose.
Yes, Sernim can be taken with paracetamol. There is no drug interaction found between them.
No, Sernim is not banned for use in adults and elderly patients by CDSCO. However, CDSCO has banned Sernim for children below 12 years age as it can cause hepatic failure (liver failure).
