Yes, Pronate F may cause depression. The exact cause of depression is not known. Very rarely, Pronate F causes hair loss (alopecia). Animal studies have shown that flunarizine can cause loss of hair. Hence its possibility in humans cannot be denied. If you are experiencing excessive hair loss after taking this drug then you are advised to discuss it with your doctor.

Pronate F contains flunarizine which works through preventing the narrowing of blood vessels due to calcium overload caused by the excessive influx of calcium. The narrowing of blood vessels is considered as a possible cause for migraine and its prevention helps in reducing the frequency and severity of migraine attacks. Pronate F also blocks the release of a chemical messenger (histamine) due to its antihistaminic properties which are presumed to contribute in providing relief to the patient from symptoms of vestibular vertigo.
