Interaction between Alcohol and Pazo Tablet
Taking Pazo Tablet with alcohol can have severely harmful effects on your health.
Rarely Pazo (Algen) causes weight gain or loss. However, If you feel your weight is fluctuating after taking this medicine then inform the doctor right away and follow his/her instructions.
This is because long-term use of Pazo (Algen) can cause Vitamin B12 deficiency. Stomach acids help in the absorption of Vitamin B 12, and this drug suppresses stomach acids which are required for the absorption of vitamin B12. Hence patients taking [medicine] for a long time have Vitamin B12 deficiency. To replenish Vitamin B12 in your body your doctor prescribes this vitamin along with this medicine.
Yes, Pazo (Algen) can be taken with Zantac. Both medicines work by reducing the acid secretion in the stomach which helps in relieving acidity. No harmful drug interactions have been reported between them. However, please consult your doctor before taking the two medicines together.
