Otichek should be taken with a meal. Drink plenty of fluids while you are taking this medicine. Drinking extra water will help prevent some unwanted effects of this medicine. Do not take this medicine along with milk, yogurt, or other dairy products, it may reduce the absorption of a drug. Take it exactly as directed by the physician.
Yes, Otichek is safe to use, if taken in the prescribed amount and duration as advised by the doctor. However, certain side effects have been associated with this drug such as stomach pain, nausea, diarrhea, headache, difficulty in breathing, and constipation.
Yes, you can take Otichek for UTI infection. It is the first-line drug for treating UTI infection. It is active against the bacteria which causes UTI infection. However, you must follow the entire course of this medicine and do not discontinue medication without consulting your doctor.
Take Otichek if your doctor has prescribed it to you. However, keep a close check on blood sugar levels as metformin is known to cause hypoglycemia( sudden dip in blood sugar levels). In case you are experiencing severe hypoglycemia, please inform your doctor immediately.
