Omisafe is a brand name for ceftriaxone. It is a prescription drug that belongs to the class of medication called cephalosporins. It is a broad spectrum antibiotic, used for treating bacterial infections, such as bronchitis, gonorrhea, respiratory, ear, throat, and urinary tract infection.
Discontinuing Omisafe in between may promote resistance to bacteria which may result in a relapse of the infection.
