No, Oflokind OZ is not a painkiller. It is an antibiotic that belongs to the class of medications called fluoroquinolone.
Oflokind OZ is a broad-spectrum antibiotic, active against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It works by inhibiting the bacterial cell division and stops the working of enzyme which is responsible for cell division. It is effective against a large number of bacteria, even those bacteria which are resistant to other drugs.
Discontinuing Oflokind OZ on your own can increase the chances of bacterial resistance and infection relapse. It is recommended that you always consult your doctor if you have decided to discontinue this medicine.
