Interaction between Food and Ofil
Ofil may take longer to act if you eat some foods while taking it. Follow your doctor's advice on this.
Interaction between Alcohol and Ofil
Taking Ofil with alcohol can have severely harmful effects on your health.
Ofil can be taken with doxycycline. No drug-drug interactions are reported between them. Doxycyclin also does not affect the absorption of this drug. However, it doesn't mean that no interaction could exist. Please consult your doctor, if you feel any complication after consuming these two medicines at the same time.
Discontinuing Ofil on your own can increase the chances of bacterial resistance and infection relapse. It is recommended that you always consult your doctor if you have decided to discontinue this medicine.
Ofil should be taken with a meal. Drink plenty of fluids while you are taking this medicine. Drinking extra water will help prevent some unwanted effects of this medicine. Do not take this medicine along with milk, yogurt, or other dairy products, it may reduce the absorption of a drug. Take it exactly as directed by the physician.
Yes Ofil is used to treat typhoid fever. If other antibiotics are resistance to salmonella typhi then it is very effective to treat typhoid fever. however, it is best to consult your doctor about the right treatment for typhoid fever.
Ofil is not recommended as the first-line of drug for treating sinus infection. However, if there are no other alternatives available then you can take it, after doctor's advice.
