It is used in the treatment of commnunity acquired pneumonia caused by bacteria Streptococcus pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, and Chlamydophilia pneumoniae. The duration of treatment depends on infection severity and patients medical condition but it is generally given for 7-14 days.

How to take Moxigram P?

The dosage of this drug may vary depending on the type of infection and severity of the infection. Usually, oral Moxigram P is recommended to be taken once daily or as advised by your doctor. It can be taken with or without the food because food does not affect the absorption of this drug. Precautions must be taken in patients with rheumatoid arthritis, heart diseases, diabetes mellitus, and improper liver or kidney function.

Can Moxigram P be used for UTI?

Yes, Moxigram P can be used for UTI (urinary tract infection) caused by bacteria Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae. However, it is not generally preferred as a first line drug of choice for the treatment of UTI. It is only prescribed in UTI when other drugs are not effective in treating the infection.
