No, Modlip Am should not be discontinued on your own. Discontinuation of a drug on your own can cause some serious problem such as blood pressure or chest pain which lead to heart attack and stroke. So before stopping this medicine, you must consult your doctor, he/she may switch your treatment if you can not tolerate this drug.
Modlip Am is a brand name of amlodipine. It is a prescription drug that belongs to the class of medications called calcium channel blocker. It is available in solid oral dosage forms like tablet and capsule. It is used in the treatment of high blood pressure (high BP) and coronary artery disease. It is not recommended for heart failure.
