Interaction between Food and Mifepristone

Interaction between Alcohol and Mifepristone
Due to lack of research, there is no information about the side effects of taking Mifepristone with alcohol.
No harmful interactions are found between Mifepristone and alcohol, it does not reduce the effectiveness of the drug. However, alcohol can cause liver damage and dehydration in some people which may increase the severity of side effects, if taken together. So, it is better to avoid taking Mifepristone with alcohol.
Take Mifepristone as directed by your doctor. After taking Mifepristone you should wait 24 to 48 hours for the onset of bleeding. Please consult your doctor, before taking the abortion pill. In case of heavy bleeding contact your doctor without any delay.
Mifepristone alone does not cause bleeding, although some women may experience light bleeding after taking misoprostol.
Mifepristone overdose, should be observed closely for signs of adrenal failure, trouble breathing. Symptoms of overdose may include: severe vaginal bleeding, Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, weakness, or dizziness may occur.
Mifepristone is used in combination with misoprostol to terminate early pregnancy. Early pregnancy means it has been 10 weeks or less since your last menstrual cycle began. It is also used to control hyperglycemia in people with Cushing syndrome.
