Yes, Marcef T can cause liver toxicity if taken in higher doses for a long time. You are advised to get regular liver function tests done to keep a check on proper liver functioning while taking this drug.
Do not self-administer Marcef T. It comes in the form of injection and preferably taken 1 - 2 times in a day (Intravenously or Intramuscularly). You are recommended to complete the 7 - 14 days course even after getting symptomatic relief.
