Lizofit, a prescription drug, is manufactured in various forms such as Infusion, Tablet. It is primarily used for the treatment of Pneumonia. Secondary and off-label uses of Lizofit have also been mentioned below.

Yes, Lizofit is an antibiotic. It contains linezolid which is a broad spectrum antibiotic that belongs to the class of drug known as oxazolidinone. It is used for the treatment of bacterial infections such as pneumonia and skin infections.
Lizofit is a broad-spectrum antibiotic which is active against gram-positive bacteria and certain gram-negative bacteria. It works by preventing the protein synthesis in bacteria which are essential for it. The absence of these vital proteins results in stunned bacterial cell growth due to which bacteria become vulnerable and dies. Lizofit is effective against a wide range of gram-positive bacteria and some gram-negative bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus agalactiae, and Enterococcus faecium.
Yes, Lizofit covers anaerobes. It is effective against anaerobic bacteria which are resistant to other antibiotics.
Yes, oral Lizofit can be taken with amlodipine. No drug-drug interaction has been reported between them. It is safe to take Lizofit along with amlodipine. However, if you feel any discomfort after taking this drug do not hesitate to inform your doctor.
