Lizemox is a broad-spectrum antibiotic which is active against gram-positive bacteria and certain gram-negative bacteria. It works by preventing the protein synthesis in bacteria which are essential for it. The absence of these vital proteins results in stunned bacterial cell growth due to which bacteria become vulnerable and dies. Lizemox is effective against a wide range of gram-positive bacteria and some gram-negative bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus agalactiae, and Enterococcus faecium.
Discontinuing Lizemox on your own can increase the chances of bacterial resistance and infection relapse. It is recommended that you always consult your doctor if you have decided to discontinue this medicine.
Yes, oral Lizemox can be taken with ibuprofen. No clinically significant drug interaction has been reported between them. However, if you feel any discomfort after taking this drug along with ibuprofen then do not hesitate to inform your doctor.
