Isolan is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Tablet. It is primarily used for the treatment of Angina.

The optimal dosage of Isolan is largely dependent on the individual's body weight, medical history, gender and age. Besides the medical condition it is advised for, the route of administration also plays an important role in determining the correct drug dosage. The most common side effects of Isolan are Headache, Dizziness, Flushing. While these are the most often observed Isolan side effects, there are can be others also. These have been listed below. Usually, these side effects of Isolan go away soon, and do not persist beyond the duration of the treatment. If, however, they worsen or do not go away, please speak with your physician.

In addition, Isolan's effect is Mild during pregnancy and Mild for lactating mothers. In addition, Isolan's effects on the liver, heart and kidney are discussed below in the Isolan related warnings section.

Isolan can cause adverse effects in certain medical conditions. It is strongly recommended to avoid Isolan in conditions like Low Blood Pressure (Hypotension), Anemia. The section on Isolan contraindications lists all such conditions.
