Garasol D also has some side effects, the most common being Skin scar, Dryness, Itching or burning. Some other side effects of Garasol D have been listed ahead. Yes, Garasol D may cause a headache. It is a known side effect of this drug. However, the exact cause of a headache is unknown. If you experience a severe headache after taking this drug, take a mild painkiller, apply balm and complete rest even after this if the pain does not subside then discuss with your doctor immediately.
The injectable form of this drug should be taken as per doctor guidance only. Duration of treatment depends on the type and severity of infections. Put 1 -2 drops of eye drop every 4-8 hours or as directed by the doctor and eye ointment is applied 2 - 4 times or directed by the doctor.
Garasol D contains gentamicin which is a broad spectrum antibiotic effective against many gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. It works by stopping the production of proteins that bacteria need to survive. Hence in this way, Garasol D kills the bacteria and treats the infection.
