Discontinuing Faxicad on your own can increase the chances of bacterial resistance and infection relapse. It is recommended that you always consult your doctor if you have decided to discontinue this medicine.
Faxicad can be taken 2 -3 times a day by mouth or as advised by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food as the presence of food does not affect the absorption of this drug. Precautions must be taken in patients with improper liver function.
Yes, Faxicad is used in the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea (IBS-D). It has been found very effective for IBS-D. Faxicad is given three times a day up to 14 days in patients of irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea.
Yes, Faxicad can be taken with amoxicillin. No clinically significant drug interaction has been reported between them. However, if you feel any discomfort after taking this drug along with amoxicillin then do not hesitate to inform your doctor.
