Elcodin is a prescription drug, available for use as Syrup. Allergic Rhinitis, Cough are some of its major therapeutic uses. Secondary and off-label uses of Elcodin have also been mentioned below.

Medical history of the patient along with age and gender determines the dosage of Elcodin. Individual symptoms and route of administration also determines the right dosage. Refer to the dosage section for a detailed discussion.

The side effects typically associated with Elcodin include Nausea or vomiting, Abdominal Pain, Drowsiness. Normally, these side effects of Elcodin are not long lasting and go away when the treatment is finished. If, however, they worsen or do not go away, please speak with your physician.

It is also important to note that Elcodin has a Moderate effect for pregnant women and Moderate effect on lactating mothers. Warnings related to Elcodin's effects on the liver, heart and kidney, if any, have been listed below.
