Donazol is not an antacid. It is proton pump inhibitor which reduce the excess acid in the stomach.
This is because long-term use of Donazol can cause Vitamin B12 deficiency. Stomach acids help in the absorption of Vitamin B 12, and this drug suppresses stomach acids which are required for the absorption of vitamin B12.
