Diike is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Tablet. Other than this, Diike has some other therapeutic uses, which have been discussed ahead.
The correct dosage of Diike depends on the patient's age, gender, and medical history. The condition it has been prescribed for, and the route of administration also determine the right dosage. Refer to the dosage section for a detailed discussion.
Diike also has some side effects, the most common being Dry Mouth. Besides the aforementioned side effects, there are other adverse effects of Diike as well, which are listed below. Diike can cause moderate side effects on breastfeeding women. If you feel its side effects, then stop taking this drug and consult your doctor. Take this medicine again only if your doctor advises to do so.

Diike is a brand name for paracetamol. It is an analgesic and antipyretic medication used to treat mild to moderate pain and fever. Even WHO has considered this drug to be an essential medicine for basic healthcare requirements. Paracetamol is one of the most commonly used 'over-the-counter' medicine. It is often prescribed as one of the first-line treatment options for pain and fever with minimum side effects.
Diike is not recommended for back pain. However, It can be taken along with a painkiller for the treatment of back pain.
If you are allergic to Diike then do not take it. Inform your doctor immediately for alternative medicine.
As we know Diike is most widely used 'over-the-counter' analgesic/antipyretic medicine. However, paracetamol overdose can cause serious adverse effects on the liver, it may be fatal. But fortunately, there is an antidote, N-acetylcysteine (NAC) given within 8 hours of Diike ingestion which usually can prevent all serious side effects of Diike poisoning. However, do not take NAC without consulting a doctor as your doctor will tell you the right way and methods to help you relieve from this drug poisoning.
You should take the minimum effective dose of Diike that reduces body pain and fever. It should be used for the shortest time period till you get relief. Take it as per doctor's advice do not exceed dosage. Ideally, 1 or 2 tablets (500 mg) every four to six hours can be safely taken, do not take more than four doses in 24 hours. Please note paracetamol 500 mg tablet should not be given to children below 10 years until and unless prescribed by a child specialist.
