Interaction between Food and Cor Qs

Interaction between Alcohol and Cor Qs
Chances of side effects of drinking alcohol while taking Cor Qs are low. If you feel any adverse effects, please seek medical advice as soon as possible.
Oral tablet and suspension of Cor Qs should be taken by mouth 1 - 2 times in a day or as advised by your doctor. Ideally, Cor Qs has to be taken with the food to avoid stomach upset. Precautions must be taken in patients with heart diseases.
Yes, Cor Qs can be taken with paracetamol. No interaction has been reported between them. It is safe to take Cor Qs along with paracetamol if it does not exceed recommended doses.
Rarely, Cor Qs causes a headache. It is a known side effect of this drug. If you experience a severe headache after taking this drug, take a mild painkiller, apply balms and complete rest. Even if the pain does not subside then discuss it with your doctor.
Cor Qs contains quinine which is an alkaloid that belongs to the class of drugs known as antimalarials. It works by interfering in the parasite's ability to break down and digest hemoglobin. Malarial parasites need hemoglobin for growth and survival. Cor Qs binds with the hemoglobin and forms a complex with it which is toxic for the parasite only. This results in starvation and death of parasites due to building up of the toxic levels. For night-time leg cramps Cor Qs works by decreasing the excitability of motor endplates which is presumed to be responsible for causing leg cramps.
Yes, Cor Qs can be taken with diclofenac. No harmful drug interaction has been reported between them. However, if you feel any discomfort after taking this drug do not hesitate to inform your doctor.
