Interaction between Alcohol and Coldaid Oral Suspension
Due to lack of research, nothing can be said about side effects of consuming alcohol while taking Coldaid Oral Suspension.
An overdose occurs when more than the required amount (toxic levels) of [medicine] is taken. Initial symptoms of Coldaid overdose includes loss of appetite, drowsiness, seizures, abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. Later progressive symptoms may include pain in your upper stomach, dark colored urine, yellowing of your skin or the white patches in your eyes, liver damage and in rare cases, it can also lead to coma. So, by any chance, if you have accidentally taken more than the required dose of Coldaid inform your doctor immediately.
Coldaid is primarily not used to treat a common cold and sore throat. It can only relieve cold-related symptoms such as a fever, headache, earache, and aching joints. It doesn't help in relieving cough or stuffy nose.
Coldaid is not recommended for back pain. However, It can be taken along with a painkiller for the treatment of back pain.
As we know Coldaid is most widely used 'over-the-counter' analgesic/antipyretic medicine. However, paracetamol overdose can cause serious adverse effects on the liver, it may be fatal. But fortunately, there is an antidote, N-acetylcysteine (NAC) given within 8 hours of Coldaid ingestion which usually can prevent all serious side effects of Coldaid poisoning. However, do not take NAC without consulting a doctor as your doctor will tell you the right way and methods to help you relieve from this drug poisoning.
No, Coldaid is not used for treating stomach pain. The stomach pain could be due to some underlying medical condition which may require medical attention. If the pain does not subside within 1 day. Please consult your doctor without further delay.
