Cognitam, a prescription drug, is manufactured in various forms such as Tablet, Syrup, Injection. It is primarily used for the treatment of Myoclonus. Other than this, Cognitam has some other therapeutic uses, which have been discussed ahead.

Medical history of the patient along with age and gender determines the dosage of Cognitam. Individual symptoms and route of administration also determines the right dosage. Detailed information has been provided in the dosage section.

Cognitam also has some side effects, the most common being Nausea or vomiting, Rash, Confusion. Besides the aforementioned side effects, there are other adverse effects of Cognitam as well, which are listed below. Usually, these side effects of Cognitam go away soon, and do not persist beyond the duration of the treatment. If, however, they worsen or do not go away, please speak with your physician.

Furthermore, you should know that effect of Cognitam is Moderate for pregnant women and Severe for women who are breastfeeding. In addition, Cognitam's effects on the liver, heart and kidney are discussed below in the Cognitam related warnings section.
