Yes, Cefzone can cause liver toxicity if taken in higher doses for a long time. You are advised to get regular liver function tests done to keep a check on proper liver functioning while taking this drug.
Yes Cefzone is used to treat typhoid fever. It is a second-line treatment for typhoid fever. If other antibiotics are resistant to salmonella typhi then it is very effective to treat typhoid fever. However, it is best to consult your doctor about the right treatment for typhoid fever.
