Yes, Pansec can cause stomach upset. It is a common side effect of this drug. Please inform and consult your doctor if you are having severe stomach upset after taking this medicine.
Pansec should be taken 30 - 60 minute before taking any meal. Preferably it should be taken once a day in the morning before breakfast. However, some patient may require to take it twice a day, in this case, 1 tablet should be taken in the morning and 1 tablet in the evening before the meal as directed by the doctor. You are recommended to consult your doctor regarding the exact dosage regime of medicine and follow his/her instruction.
Pansec works by blocking the action of the enzyme in the wall of a stomach which is responsible for acid production in the stomach. By blocking the enzyme, the production of acid is decreased, and this helps to relieve the stomach from acidity, heartburn, GERD, stomach ulcer and other acidity related stomach problem.
