Xtafil is a brand name for tadalafil. It is a prescription drug that belongs to the class of medications called phosphodiesterase-5 enzyme Inhibitor. It is used to treat erectile dysfunction. Its effectiveness for treating sexual dysfunction in women has yet not been established. It works only by increasing sexual stimulation but does not increase sexual desire. It is also used to treat enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia-BPH) and pulmonary hypertension.
Xtafil does not influence the sperm count. It also does not affect the ejaculation volume and viscosity.
Do not take Xtafil with other erectile dysfunction medicine like avanafil, and vardenafil. Because each of these drugs has a unique chemical structure and property. There may be a chemical reaction between Xtafil and these drugs hence try and avoid not to take them together.
Do not take Xtafil with nitrate, because taking it with nitrates can cause life-threatening conditions. Also, this combination is contraindicated, it must be avoided as it can produce significant hypotension (low blood pressure) and is potentially fatal.
No, Xtafil does not cause cancer, Clinical trial was performed on in vivo (animal) model and there were no carcinogenic (cancerous) changes found in animals.
