Wegalin Forte is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Capsule. Neuropathic Pain, Epilepsy are some of its major therapeutic uses.

Interaction between Food and Wegalin Forte
Taking Wegalin Forte with food does not cause any problems.
Interaction between Alcohol and Wegalin Forte
Consuming Wegalin Forte with alcohol can have many serious effects on your body.
The Wegalin Forte is susceptible to breaking down in the presence of light and it also gets affected by the moisture. Therefore, it should be consumed as soon as the package is opened and must be protected from the light and moisture.
Wegalin Forte works by forming myelin sheath which is used to cover and protect the nerve cells. Wegalin Forte is used to revive the nerve cells. In the absence of enough Wegalin Forte, myeline sheath doesn't form properly leading to nerve damage.
The general recommended an oral dose of the Wegalin Forte is 1500 µg daily, divided into three doses. It is also available in other forms such as injectibles. Patients with critically low levels of methylcobalamin are often recommended by to take intramuscular injections to cover up for their deficiency.
The Wegalin Forte can be used for the treatment of subacute herpetic neuralgia (pain that persists for 30 to 120 days following a rash by herpes zoster), glossopharyngeal neuralgia (extreme pain at the back of the tongue, throat or ears) and trigeminal neuralgia (extreme pain caused via trigeminal nerve from face to the brain).
Wegalin Forte is an active form of vitamin B12. It is available in the form of oral, parenteral, and sublingual (under the tongue) formulations. It is used to treat B12 deficiency, Alzheimer's disease, diabetic neuropathy (nerve damage due to diabetes), visual function, rheumatoid arthritis, Bell's Palsy (facial paralysis or temporary weakness of the facial muscles), sleep-wake rhythm (irregular sleeping pattern) disorder and neuropathic pain.
