Lulyera is a brand name of luliconazole and it comes in the form of a topical cream. It belongs to the class of drugs known as antifungal agents (azole class anti-infectives). It is a prescription drug that is used for the treatment of interdigital tinea pedis also known as athlete's foot (fungal infection) that affects the area between the toes. It is also used in the treatment of jock itch also known as tinea cruris (fungal infection of the skin) that affects the skin area around the genitals, buttocks, and inner thighs and ringworm also known as tinea corporis. Lulyera is effective against all of these fungal skin infections that are caused by Trichophyton rubrum and Epidermophyton floccosum.
No, Lulyera does not cause dry skin. It has not been reported by the patients who are using this drug. However, your skin becomes after using this medicine it may be due to other reason try to use moisturizer and other preventive cure to eradicate dryness of skin.
Yes, rarely Lulyera can cause skin irritation or burning sensation. It is a known side effect of this drug. However, if you experience excessive irritation of skin after applying this drug, then discuss with your doctor and follow his/her instructions.
Yes, Lulyera can treat athlete's foot also known as tinea pedis which is a fungal infection that causes itching, stinging, scaling, and redness of the foot. Lulyera contains luliconazole which is an antifungal agent that kills the fungi which cause this infection.
Lulyera should be applied 1 - 2 times a day or as advised by your doctor. Lulyera should be applied after cleaning the infected area, allow it to dry, and then gently rub the medication till it does not appear. Do not forget to wash your hands after applying this drug.
