No, Terbex should not be taken with birth control pill because it can interfere with birth control pills, and causes irregular periods and breakthrough bleeding. Keep your doctor informed before taking them together. Try other methods of contraception such as condoms, barrier methods to avoid unwanted pregnancies.
Terbex works by preventing the fungal infection to grow further. They inhibit cytochrome P450 enzyme 14- demethylase and block ergosterol synthesis. This action results in the destruction of cell membranes of the pathogen by limiting the growth of the fungus. Hence, in this way, it kills fungus and protect us from infection.
Terbex can be taken orally and applied topically. An oral form such as tablet should be taken with or without food and avoid caffeine intake while on medicine. Duration and dose of the course will vary according to the severity of the antifungal infection.
