Yes, Esomac may cause dry mouth because it decreases the saliva secretion in your mouth. It is a common side effect of this drug. If you experience excess dry mouth after taking this drug, keep yourself hydrated with juices, shakes and ample water.
Take Esomac as long as needed, but do not take more than 4 weeks. If your symptoms still persist even after 4 weeks then consult your doctor before taking this drug afterward.
Esomac should be taken 1 hour before the meal because the presence of food can affect the absorption of this drug from the stomach and its therapeutic benefit. Preferably it should be taken once a day in the morning before breakfast. However, some patient may need twice a day, in this case, 1 tablet should be taken in the morning and 1 tablet in the evening before the meal as directed by the doctor. Please consult your doctor regarding the exact dosage regimen of medicine and follow his/her instruction.
