Dilation of the blood vessel reduces the blood pressure and decreases the chance of angina.
Yes, Dilzem may cause shortness of breath. It has been reported by a patient who is taking this drug. However, if you experience shortness of breath or difficulty in swallowing then immediately consult your doctor and follow his/her instructions.
