Yes, PAN can be taken with Zantac. Both medicines work by reducing the acid secretion in the stomach which helps in relieving acidity. No harmful drug interactions have been reported between them. However, please consult your doctor before taking the two medicines together.
No, you can not buy PAN over-the-counter. It is a prescription drug, without prescription of a healthcare practitioner, you can not buy directly from the pharmacy. It is for our own safety taking antibiotics without doctors advice can lead to unwanted side effects.
Discontinuation of PAN on your own can cause rebound effects. So, it advisable to take this drug as directed by the doctor and do not discontinue medicine on your own.
Rarely PAN causes weight gain or loss. However, If you feel your weight is fluctuating after taking this medicine then inform the doctor right away and follow his/her instructions.
