Yes, Lansec can be taken with ibuprofen. No harmful drug interaction has been reported between them. It is safe to take Lansec along with ibuprofen if the dose of Lansec does not exceed as recommended by the doctor.
Lansec works by blocking the action of an enzyme (H+/K+ATPase) in the cells (parietal) of the stomach which is responsible for acid production in the stomach. Due to blockage of this enzyme, the production of acid is decreased, and this helps to relieve the stomach from acidity, heartburn, GERD, stomach ulcer and other acidity related stomach problem.
Discontinuation of Lansec on your own can cause rebound effects. So, it advisable to take this drug as directed by the doctor and do not discontinue/stop medicine on your own. Please inform the doctor before stopping/discontinuing this drug on your own.
