Esoflux D is a brand name for domperidone. It is a prescription drug which belongs to the class of medication known as antiemetics (dopamine D2-receptor antagonist). It is mainly used for the treatment of nausea, vomiting, bloating and stomach fullness. It is also used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by certain medication used to treat Parkinson's disease.
Ideally, Esoflux D should be taken by mouth once daily but it can be taken twice in some cases depending on the severity of symptoms or as advised by your doctor. It should be taken before 30 minutes of eating food to prevent acidity and heartburn. Precautions must be taken in patients with hypersensitivity and improper liver function.
Yes, Esoflux D has been reported to cause diarrhoea but this occurs in a few cases only. It is a common side effect of this medicine. Drink plenty of fluids while you are taking this medicine. Esoflux D contains domperidone (dopamine D2-receptor antagonist).
